The story

Built from broken.

I'm Jacob. I'm a one-legged coach in Columbia, SC, and the entire reason I do this is because I shouldn't be here.

The day everything changed

In June of 2025 my leg got torn off in an accident. The trauma surgeon told me afterward that I had about three extra minutes between life and death. Three. The reason I had those three minutes — the only reason — was the shape my body was already in.

I've been training since I was 7 years old. Boxing in basements. Lifting before I had any business under a barbell. Bodybuilding through high school. Nine years of football. Running heavy equipment for a living. The body I'd built over twenty-something years was the only thing in the room with enough margin to keep me alive long enough for help to arrive.

That's not a metaphor. That's the literal math of what fitness gave me. And it's the reason I'm done letting people pretend this is about looking good in a mirror.

What I believe

Fitness is the most important insurance policy you can buy, and it's free. Every rep is paying down the premium on a future emergency you don't see coming. Every meal you handle right is a deposit. Every walk, every set, every honest hour of sleep is a piece of margin.

The fitness industry has tried to make this complicated because complicated sells. It isn't. There are about ten things that actually work, and the entire job of a coach is to install them in your life so they survive a bad week. That's it. Anyone selling you more than that is selling you something they want you to pay for.

Who this is for

If you're 15 or 80, male or female, athlete or first-timer, in a globo gym or working out of a garage with a single dumbbell — this is for you. The only requirement is hunger. Real, "I'm done playing" hunger. The kind that survives a bad Tuesday.

If you want easy, I'm not your guy. If you want a coach who'll lie to you, I'm not your guy. If you want someone who's been through it, who'll build the plan around your real life, and who'll be in the messages with you every single day — that's the whole job.

What I refuse to do

  • ✗Sell you a one-size-fits-all PDF and call it coaching.
  • ✗Push you onto supplements you don't need.
  • ✗Pretend genetics, age, or schedule are excuses I'll let you use.
  • ✗Quit on you the moment you stop posting wins.
  • ✗Charge for advice I'd give a friend for free.
